Cliveden Rocked!

We are proud to once again have sponsored Cliveden Rocks! - the National Trust's fabulous concerts and firework displays within the grounds of Cliveden Manor House.

This year’s event is said to have been the best ever thanks to the exceptional performances put on by the Magic of Abba, Cavern Beatles, Counterfeit Stones and T. Rextasy.

Over 6,000 tickets were sold over the weekend, drawing in crowds of people of all ages from Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and further afield. On the whole, the weather behaved allowing ticket holders to revel in the most amazing atmosphere, fabulous sounds and to witness the finale fireworks display which completed each night with a crescendo.

Cliveden Rocks event is a firm fixture for the Summer Diary of Events. The Frost Partnership is proud to have been the sole sponsor for the 5th successful year running and looks forward to supporting The National Trust in the future.

Next year, keep your eye on the Frost blog to find out when the discounted Early Bird Tickets are available to ensure you don’t miss out!

Charity golf day supports School Aid

Frosts are pleased to have supported a Charity Golf Day at Denham Golf Club to help raise funds for School Aid, a charity whose mission is to support the advancement of education in disadvantaged schools and communities in Africa.

The charity's second annual Golf Day took place at Denham Golf Club on Wednesday, 20th July 2011. There was a maximum turnout with a field of 19 teams. Raffle tickets were sold during the morning and the lucky winners took home some wonderful prizes, the Stoke Park Spa voucher donated by Frosts being one of the main attractions.

As well as the raffle, an auction was conducted with the popular comedian Russ Williams as Auctioneer. Russ conducted a stunning Auction and his unique skills ensured many of those present dug deep. Prizes were presented for the straightest drive, nearest the pin, third, second and first teams. The winners of the overall competition were ‘The Stragglers’ consisting of Nigel and Neil Bennett, Greg Lock and Nick Cosh. The princely figure of £13,500 was raised which means that the charity can confidently plan ahead for more consignments of essential resources required to improve the education and life chances of many African children.

A right royal party!

Frosts joined in the fun at the Old Amersham Royal Wedding Street Party. Our Amersham office sponsored the balloons that decorated the street and David Wright, Associate Director of the Beaconsfield office and an Old Amersham resident, helped to organise the closed street and partied hard all afternoon! The Old Town was strangely quiet until about 1pm when people started to arrive, and they didn’t stop coming. A rough estimate suggests that we had nearly 2000 party goers and judging by the amount of food and drink that kept appearing it definitely felt like it. It was very difficult moving from one end of the street to the other and the Memorial Gardens were littered with people having picnics and enjoying the lovely weather we had. A great day was had by all and we look forward to the next excuse for a street party!

Valentines romance for the RNLI

Valentine's took on a romantic twist when the Chilterns Branch of the RNLI hosted a fabulous Valentines Ball at Latimer House, Latimer, on 11th February 2011.

The black tie evening was a tremendous success. Pre-dinner drinks, kindly donated by The Frost Partnership, were followed by a three course dinner, raffle and auction. The evening then changed course when the band, Planet Funk, started up and the Casino opened, sponsored by Open Text.Overall, the Chilterns Committee believe that approximately £12,000 was raised on the night, for which the organisers are hugely thankful to local supporters and sponsors of the event.

The England Hockey team give cricketers a run for their money

The England Hockey team swapped their sticks for cricket bats to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Hawridge and Cholesbury Cricket Club.

As sponsors of the event we are pleased to report the hockey stars left the field unscarred.Unfortunately we can't say the same for the hosting team whose wicket keeper gained two fat lips and our Frost representative ended up in hospital with broken fingers!
