Park Life!

It’s National Parks Week 24 - 30 July and with the summer holidays upon us, it’s time to pack a picnic, head outdoors and enjoy the amazing outdoor spaces in our region this summer. Whilst we don’t have a National Park on our doorstep, we have some fabulous parks in our office network area. Here are a few favourites in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Middlesex as suggested by our estate agents.

Black Park (pictured) SL3 6DS has over 500 acres of lake, wood and heathland and 10 miles of well-kept tracks so it’s great for cycling and dog-walking. There’s also a huge shady woodland play zone next to the lakeside cafe. You’ll often see film crews shooting the next blockbuster – Harry Potter fans may recognise the scenery – as Pinewood Studios is nearby. There’s even a film walk on 24th July. During the holidays the park organizes trails and activities and there’s also Go Ape for the truly adventurous. Tripadvisor gives both Black Park and Langley Park (see below) a Certificate of Excellence as a fabulous day out.

Bedfont Lakes Country Park TW14 8QA – a Green Flag award winning park that offers 180 acres of open space for walking, cycling and outdoor pursuits and picturesque country scenery tucked away in an urban area. There are Summer Activities for Junior Rangers, Wildlife Explorers, Toddler Mornings, Enchanted Adventures and a BIG Bedfont Camp Night!

Langley Park SL0 0LS. With over 150 acres of parkland, buggy and wheelchair friendly paths and over 10 miles of designated cycling routes there’s plenty to explore. There are picnic facilities in all the most popular spots and a family friendly cafe next to the adventure playground with slides, swings, a seesaw and play house.
