Langley and surrounding villages

Langley lies east of Slough in Berkshire, just off Junction 5 of the M4, with excellent access to the M25, M40 and M3. There are bus links via the A4 to Slough and Heathrow Airport, while the mainline station offers a services to London Paddington (25 minutes) and to Slough, Reading, Oxford, Bristol and the West Country. Langley is also on the Elizabeth line giving direct access to The City and with a journey time of 25 minutes into London, Paddington.

Langley has a range of primary schools, including Castleview, Parlaunt Park, Marish and the Holy Family Catholic Primary School, while secondary education is provided by Langley Grammar, Upton Court Grammar, and St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar.

A full range of property is available in Langley from studio apartments to detached family homes. The centre of Langley has a wealth of Victorian properties retaining much period character. Throughout each decade since the 1930s housing stock has continued to develop creating a thriving multi-cultural community.

The town has excellent sport and leisure facilities with a leisure complex, pool and gymnasium in Parlaunt Road and a choice of public golf courses nearby, including Farnham Park and Iver. Sailing, windsurfing and watersports are all available locally at Queen Mary Reservoir.

The Harrow Market precinct, a choice of banks and building societies, High Street stores and local shops cater for most daily needs. There are more extensive shopping facilities in nearby Slough, Windsor and Uxbridge (which also provides underground links into Central London).

Popular pubs and restaurants in Langley include The Montagu Arms, The Red Lion and The Ostrich, while an array of restaurants at Windsor are also within easy reach.

Notable landmarks in Langley include the parish church, which dates from 1150 and the nearby village of Colnbrook, while award winning Langley Park and Black Park (which has featured in many productions from nearby Pinewood Studios) offer acres of scenic open space for walking and outdoor pursuits.
